He is the Director of AboutSkin Dermatology and DermSurgery, and AboutSkin Research in metropolitan-Denver, Colorado. He was named a Top Dermatologist by US News and World Report, Castle Connelly Top Doctor (2013-2023), and voted by his peers as one of Denver’s Top Doctors in 5280 magazine 10-times. He is a Board-Certified Dermatologist, and Fellowship-trained in Mohs Surgery, Lasers and Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Cohen has published over 306 medical articles and book chapters, and has has co-authored 3 academic textbooks. He lectures every month at national meetings as well as at many international congresses, and has participated in over 100 clinical trials including key aesthetic lasers and devices.     Melissa Mauskar, MD < Back Melissa Mauskar, MD Faculty Melissa Mauskar, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Her clinical practice is focused on complex medical dermatology and vulvar dermatoses. She is the founder and Director of the Gynecologic Dermatology Clinic at UT Southwestern, a tertiary referral center for gynecologists, dermatologists, and primary care physicians serving Texas and surrounding states. Dr. Mauskar earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed her residency in dermatology at Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center and is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. In addition to general dermatology, she specializes in treating vulvovaginal conditions such as lichen sclerosus, lichen planus, lichen simplex chronicus, and pelvic floor disorders. She has a passion for educational initiatives to improve the recognition, diagnosis, and treatment of vulvar dermatoses. Dr. Mauskar serves as part of the Parkland Health vulvology clinical faculty, working alongside her gynecology colleagues to provide multispecialty collaboration for patients with complex vulvovaginal conditions. She is also an active member of the Dermatology Inpatient Consultation team and staffs the department’s High Complexity Clinic, where she specializes in treating patients with severe cutaneous drug eruptions. Her research interests include lichen sclerosus as well as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis. Her research is supported by the Dermatology Foundation, and she has been involved in site-specific planning of a NIH UO1 phase III prospective multi-institutional study comparing medical treatment to supportive care for Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis. Dr. Mauskar lectures worldwide on vulvar dermatoses. She is a fellow of the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease (ISSVD) and serves on the Board of Directors for the North American Chapter of the ISSVD. As an advocate for women’s health initiatives, she aims to improve the quality of life for women and their interpersonal relationships and empower patients to speak more freely about their conditions. Nestor, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.A.D. is a board-certified Dermatologist and serves as Director of the Center for Clinical and Cosmetic Research™ and the Center for Cosmetic Enhancement®, Aventura, Florida. He is a Voluntary Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. He is the current President of the American Cutaneous Oncology Society, a past President of the American Society for Photodynamic Therapy, the International Society for Cosmetic and Laser Surgeons, and the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. As Director for CCCR, he has conducted more than 150 FDA and non-FDA clinical trials. Dr. Nestor is recognized as a world expert in clinical therapeutics, drug delivery systems, and research in many areas of clinical Dermatology and aesthetics including acne, psoriasis, and skin cancer, light therapies to treat skin disease, cutaneous laser surgery, photodynamic therapy, and Superficial Radiation Therapy. His aesthetic expertise includes lasers, RF, and other devices, fillers and he recently developed new clinical postulates for botulinum toxins. He has authored over 100 articles and book chapters, has delivered over 1000 major presentations around the world, and is viewed as an internationally acclaimed lecturer and instructor of clinical and aesthetic dermatology. Dr. Nestor also serves as a consultant to numerous pharmaceutical and device companies assisting them in the development of new medications, devices, and cosmeceuticals.     Antoanella Calame, MD < Back Antoanella Calame, MD Faculty Dr. Antoanella Calame received her MD degree from University of California, San Diego (UCSD) after graduating Summa Cum Laude from California Lutheran University. She completed her residency in Dermatology at UCSD, followed by a Dermatopathology Fellowship at University of Texas, Southwestern (UTSW) in Dallas, Texas, where she trained with Dr. Clay Cockerell, one of the world leaders in the field of Dermatopathology. Dr. Calame is board certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology and holds over thirty active state licenses. She is the author of a book on Cutaneous Manifestations of HIV disease and has published numerous peer reviewed scientific papers. Dr. Calame is an invited speaker at local and national conferences every year. She has a special interest in melanoma and melanocytic lesions and is actively involved with the newest clinical and molecular techniques used in the diagnosis and prognosis of cutaneous melanoma. Dr. Calame is the founder and director of Compass Dermatopathology, Poway Dermatology, and the Dermatology Center of La Jolla. She practices Dermatopathology full time and spends a limited time seeing Dermatology patients. Dr. Calame teaches Dermatology and Dermatopathology to the UCSD and Navy Dermatology residents, as well as Dermatology and Pathology residents who come to rotate with her from all over the United States and the world.
